I am aware that many individuals have the desire to breed parakeet birds and budgerigars. They think it is easy to raise parakeet birds and wanted to make money out of these little flying creatures. If you are one of those people who want to know more about breeding parakeets, you must learn first the basic then the advance steps in breeding parakeets. Going into a different world without understanding first all the information regarding the subject matter would highly put your time into waste. There are many people especially hobbyist who want to breed parakeets but are confused and don’t have enough idea on how it is done. They want to have hundreds of these birds but don’t know how to breed parakeets successfully and do not have the guts even just to start the process. And this is where the problem starts. If you are still confused on how to effectively mate your birds to have hundreds or even thousands of these birds on your backyard then this article is for you. You just need to read this whole article about breeding parakeets and after that you are ready to go. I want to provide step by step procedures on how to properly and effectively breed budgerigars. I hope I can be successful in doing so.

As I have said in my recent article, Things to Do before Breeding Parakeets, I have mentioned a lot of techniques that you can do before the breeding process. Actually, there are lots of ways and steps that are required to be accomplished prior to breeding as this is the starting point of your journey as a hobbyist. There are also many ways on how you can make a profit out of these little creatures and make a decent living in the future.

If you are planning to breed parakeets, then you need to be patient and you need a lot of hard work in order to have a successful mating activity. You have to do all the things that are required even at the starting point of breeding procedures. You can accomplish such task by making your self available and ready.

Mating Your Bird Parakeet (Step by step Methods)

Step 1 – You can start your plans by means of buying a real pair of parakeet. That means you need to purchase a pair which include a male and a female bird in order to breed. That is obvious and that is a clear fact. You also need to get them into a legitimate and known pet store or bird supplier to be sure you are getting the right pair of parakeets. Ask them some tips on breeding and the store owner or clerk will surely be willing to teach you understand the process. They will also provide you some good vitamins and supplements for your pair of birds to be sure they are in good shape and condition.

Step 2 - This will include knowing what type of parakeet birds you want to breed. Blue colored birds which mate a pink one will produce a blue bright colored chicks. You just have to know how to differentiate the male from female parakeet. You can practice this skill by looking at the edges of the eyes and the color of the circle within the eyes. Male have white-like circle on their eyes while females have grayish looking circles around their eyes.

Step 3 – You also need to know when your breeding parakeets are ready to be bred. A lot of hobbyists are frustrated as they don’t know when the exact time is. Ask the owner or the supplier where you buy the breeding pair as they know how many days after hatching these birds are ready for breeding.

Step 4 – Pick a good breeding parakeet cage. Look for breeding cages as soon as you obtain your pair of breeding parakeets. They need an average cage in order to breed successfully. They also need comfortable and clean environment so maintain your cage neat at all times.

Step 5 – Choose a nest box that is appropriate for your breeding pair. A wooden nest box with a cavity inside it will surely fit for you pair. Install it inside your cage and allow the birds sometime to be familiarized with the nest box. At first they will ignore it, especially the female but as time goes by, she will get used to it.

Step 6 – Put your pair of breeding parakeet on the cage and put a small food container together with water supply. Add some ceramic food dishes as these will provide them the necessary nutrition and supplements in order to have a good health.

Breeding Your Parakeets

Step 7 - Look at your breeding parakeets strictly to find out what time you should arrange the coop up for breeding. You will recognize it when your budgerigars have couple bonded and when you observe one (the male most of the time) and the other do a special ritual steps that has control escalating the other bird.

Step 8 - Supply your breeding parakeets a unique prepared food, vitamins and liquid supplements to organize them for mating. Select a combine food of pellets or seeds prior to breeding and of course when the female lays her eggs. Add soft diets and amixture of coal, crashed egg shells and sand in order the egg to be strong and healthy. You can buy this mix on any pet store or supplier.

When you see the signs of mating which can include kissing (that’s why many people call them love birds), then they are ready to breed. Give them some soft nesting materials in the nest box to supply them what they need in laying eggs.
Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5336259251599668193.post-41621192801661919792009-10-16T00:53:00.000-07:002009-10-16T00:53:56.477-07:00Privacy Policy Of Breeding ParakeetsThank you for visiting Breeding Parakeets | Parakeet Breeder's Blog.

In my last post About Breeding Parakeets which serves as an introduction here on this blog, I have mentioned there are things to consider before doing any breeding procedures on these birds. It is advisable to understand all the factors concerning the preparation of parakeet breeders or the pair of parakeets to be bred to be able to get the best results in reproduction. If you fail to physically prepare the breeding parents you will not be successful in the reproduction stage even if you implement all the techniques and methods in breeding parakeets. Eventually, breeding all kinds of parakeet birds especially those birds that are planning to monetize starts on this steps: preparation. But there are also lots of things to consider before, after and while breeding parakeets. Parakeet breeder should consider proper preparation in terms of physical condition, best timing, feeding, caring and keeping their bird houses clean and secured before breeding. In addition, we should also know of effective methods in breeding and easy ways on how they will maintain their eggs strong and healthy before they hatch. They should be set accordingly prior to reproduction to guarantee great outcome possible.

The first step before breeding parakeets is that we should understand all required information, facts and details. We, the breeders should also prepare for the stage of breeding by means of gathering information and techniques. Breeding parakeets can be easy if proper preparation and correct trainings are done by the breeders before putting the parakeets into breeding process. If we don’t consider techniques prior to breeding, problems may occur along the way resulting to an unsuccessful reproduction. The breeders should also be prepared and fully equipped with parakeets breeding methods and techniques to ensure quality eggs and offspring. There are many factors to understand in terms of propagation of these kinds of birds.

Parakeets are birds with unique characteristics therefore they also need the right approach and unique caring when it comes to breeding. We should prepare their physical condition to avoid casualties among the eggs and parents as well. There is an enormous dissimilarity among “just possessing a pair of parakeet” and “breeding parakeets”. Just like every pet animals you have, breeding involves certain level of attention and involves proper treatments on the breeding bird parents to ensure valuable eggs and chicks. One of the most important factors to consider is to maintain the absolute health for the breeding parents and of the offspring. Many parakeet breeders ignore such preparation so they end up confused and disoriented when problems take place while breeding. The right treatment in terms of security, environment, feeds and proper care should be implemented before breeding parakeets. Correct methods should be applied in order to successfully breed parakeets.

See to it that their bird cages and bird houses and nesting place are free from dirt and kept secured all the time. Intruders such as lizards and rats can interrupt in the breeding process. Make sure you begin your journey by preparing their nests and houses clean and comfortable. Necessary factors in keeping parakeets should be identified and not focus only on the feelings of pleasures the birds gave us. We should learn new ways and proper care prior to breeding so that we can be sure of our success in the future and avoid confusion among the methods. Breeding parakeets should be put in a cage not smaller than 20 inches in height, 20 inches in width and 20 inches in length. This is the best size for any breeding parakeets and must have a wooden nesting place not smaller than one foot in all sides. Do not forget to put some nesting materials such as dried grass or leaves. The male parakeet will organize the nest by means of collecting these nesting materials inside the parakeet house. Make it as comfortable as possible. Remember always that the success in breeding parakeets may also be depending on the cleanliness of their environment.

Another thing to think about is that the parakeet parents should not be related to each other. This will prevent certain situations related to health issues such as weak eggs and empty eggshells. It will also promote good health among offspring and parents as well. The parents should not be sick in any way and has not recently in bad health. This will also encourage the best health not only on the parent parakeets but on the young chicks as well. If possible, the pair of parakeet should undergo conditional check up with an animal health professional to give you the confidence to continue the breeding process. You also have to be sure the birds to be bred should be at least 12 months. If you pair them earlier than usual they will not breed in any way.

Give them food supplement and bird seeds that qualify their taste. They must have the best and nutritious food in order to have a strong resistance to any kind of diseases. Another “a must” thing is to provide them a cuttlefish bone to supply them the calcium they need. The cuttlebone will serve the female parakeet calcium and other minerals to be able to lay eggs with strong shell and strong condition. Be always alert when breeding parakeets. Be sure to visit them everyday to check their situation and their condition. These will also a preventive measure to avoid certain accidents and health related problems. We can be sure that if we start with good preparation prior in breeding parakeets we can also end in success all the time.

I started liking the breeding process of parakeets as early as 2004. I love the way that parakeets can reproduce by means of my techniques and methods. I am searching for new methods to raise them properly. I am also planning to raise my breeders to monetize them and provide me money to maintain the health and bird houses. As a breeder, I will make sure that I will provide them the needed requirements in all aspects of breeding parakeets to be able to breed quality offspring and young.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5336259251599668193.post-29515306488015345492009-10-04T23:37:00.000-07:002009-10-04T23:37:04.505-07:00About Breeding Parakeets BlogMy journey of about five years in the field of breeding parakeets made me realized that this is the right time to make an effort of teaching people who are having hard times seeking for information about breeding parakeets. I believe that this is the proper timing when it comes to educating others about bird parakeets as their pets. I am sad how people and some hobbyists ignore the facts that parakeets need more attention and important care while in the stage of breeding. Some individuals ignore necessary requirements and required procedures in parakeet breeding and pay no attention in so many details of the subject. Reproduction of parakeet birds can be quite simple if you know the proper approach. But if you disregard needed methods in terms of breeding, you can not get the results you wanted.

Breeding parakeets can be pretty easy if you understand the basics. Understanding initial preparation and primary care can be extremely helpful and can benefit you and your pet birds not only in terms of keeping parakeets but also in other kinds of birds like parrots, myna, owls and pigeons. These essential methods of feeding, keeping, maintaining cages and advance bird care such as training and keeping them in good, quality living, can extremely useful later on. One major aspect in breeding parakeets or in breeding any kinds of bird, you should have the passion in birds. The passion for your interest will let you continue your hobby and can make you constantly holding its entirety. There are many bird keeping steps that you can get through the internet. Even though you are still a beginner in the subject of breeding parakeets, there are lots of procedures, methods, tips and techniques that you can learn by searching the web and studying its importance and efficacy.

There are also many aspects regarding breeding parakeets which are important in the said field. There are lots of important things to remember while you are in the hobby to be able to develop your parakeet keeping in a more productive way. Considering that you are a beginner and just starting your way on the road, you should understand all the factors concerning breeding parakeet’s procedures. There are also many things related in breeding to properly monetize them and make a decent living out of your pastime. In breeding, you are hitting two birds in one stone. You can get quality time by keeping them as your pets and making money at the same time. Earning money is possible by means of selling parakeets to like-minded individuals who shares same interests as you or people who just love keeping pets like parakeet birds.

Just what I have mentioned in the top paragraph, I am celebrating my fifth year in the field of breeding parakeets and as a parakeet breeder, I want to share all my knowledge which I have learned in my way in. Hobbyists who want to really enjoy their pet parakeets should learn new techniques in terms of proper caring. They must learn best methods of bird keeping being able to ensure quality breeds. People who love parakeets must understand all things as related in this specialization because it will not only benefit their pet birds but can guarantee to make money out of them.

Some people do not agree of monetizing such birds because of some ethical blah blah, but in my own opinion, we are only sharing our interests to others so that they can get the pleasure and benefits as well. There’s no harm in sharing what’s good for the heart and soul. And pocket. LOL. But seriously, recent studies show that breeding parakeets or bird keeping in any kind can enhance the moral boost of an individual and can put the state of mind into happiness and joys. It can develop some good things in life such as prevention of negative thought like depressions and stress. If you are having difficult times, you can achieve happiness just by watching them. Imagine how much joy you can get if you are getting money out of them?

I decided to make a breeding parakeet blog to share traditional and untraditional methods related to mating and sexing or a pair of parakeet bird. This blog’s intention is to teach other people who are thinking of keeping parakeets as pets and teach them easy ways on how to breed parakeets. A lot of sites have been talking about the right way to breed parakeets but doesn’t realize that there are more articles to write and there are lots of topics to be discussed in terms of feeding, keeping, caring and maintaining them into a secured, clean and smooth environment not just breeding issues. Just like human beings, they should be treated in a good way. We must develop our relationship to them as soft as our treatments for other human beings.

I would like to emphasize that the list of methods and techniques in regard to parakeet breeding have been long enough for to be able to succeed in our goals. It may be easy obtaining skills in terms of breeding birds like parakeets but we must understand that without passion to the hobby of parakeet keeping we can not totally continue to get our goals. Remember that in every aspect of breeding parakeets we should have huge amount of interest on what we are doing.

Every parakeet has its own life that must be properly treated. WE will discuss here some good tips in breeding parakeets and right techniques in sexing parakeets. We will also talk about proper training, right feeding procedures and correct treatments on some diseases to avoid casualties. If possible we will also discuss preventive measures on some health related issues to prevent sickness among them. I will also share tips on how you can monetize them by selling to pet shops or aviary store. You can also expect products reviews such as bird seeds, bird toys, parakeet cages and other stuff that can help you on your journey of breeding parakeets. I will also provide links on other related sites about other birds as pets such as parrots and African lovebirds.

In my next post, I will try my best to describe details about all these matters. For the meantime, enjoy your parakeets and be sure to keep them away from intruders such as rats and cats. Breeding parakeets is as easy as a walk in the park but you should always remember that without passion to the hobby you can not get the best outcome in breeding parakeets and you can’t have the most out of it.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0
